Completely hand-made skin care and bath and body products made from
fresh, natural and organic ingredients (minimal amounts of food-grade
preservatives were necessary in some products).
Back-to-basics.
Leyende has an anti-mass production philosophy. Our products are sold
in limited batches to ensure quality, effectiveness and longevity of
the product.
Purely Plants, Please. Almost all our ingredients are plant-based. Vegan substitute ingredients are available upon request at a higher price.
Family-tested.
We are opposed to harming animals in the name of beauty. Instead, we
test on the perfect subjects -- ourselves and our loved ones. (No other
test could be more stringent than our family and friends' healthy
skepticism and candor.)
Doing Our Part: Little Things Add Up
* Production of our organic, handmade products consume less fossil fuels, less electricity and less water wastage
* By using and encouraging more people to use products like Leyende, we
contribute in lessening pollution, promoting a lifestyle that is kinder
to the environment
* Both attractive and functional, most Leyende packaging has also
been chosen for its minimal impact on the environment. We turn them
over to a Materials Recycling Facility after use. Currently, we are
seeking a way to convert our containers to Plantic, a completely
biodegradable form of plastic made from amylose cornstarch.
* By using basic black and white for our branding and labels, less dyes
and caustic chemicals are required to print and make Leyende collateral.
* Running most of our business and communications online, means we promote a more efficient, paperless environment.
